Leadership Northern Kentucky brings together a diverse group of leaders from across the region and encourages them to push their boundaries. This week was no exception, as Pones led participants in the Art of Unwinding at the CAC.

WELCOME NEW DANCER Jamari Brown

“Dance excites me because it is more than just movement — it is a form of storytelling, emotion, and connection. Through dance, I can express feelings and ideas in ways that words sometimes cannot, while building confidence and freedom within myself. What started as a creative interest grew into something much deeper, pushing me outside my comfort zone and teaching me discipline, passion, and self-expression. During high school, I struggled with depression, and dance became a source of comfort and healing that reminded me I was strong and capable of moving forward. Dance now plays a major role in my life because it allows me to connect with others, release stress, and feel inspired in a positive environment. I want to share my talents with Pones and the community so I can spread that same encouragement, creativity, and joy while helping others feel confident and supported through the arts.”

WELCOME NEW DANCER Tod Fish

“I started dancing when I was seven years old. At the time, I was trying to follow in my older brother’s footsteps of playing traditional sports. Unfortunately for younger me, I was hopeless. Then one day my grandmother drove past a dance studio and I haven’t stopped since. Dance gave me a home; something that was my own. Now, it gives me a place to share where I am in life, physically, mentally, and emotionally as well as gives me an opportunity to connect with other artists to our stories.”

WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBER Zak Kelley

Zak is a Cincinnati native with a love for engagement, community, & the arts. He holds a BFA in Acting from The New School for Drama and currently works as the Director of Sales for 3CDC, overseeing partnerships with corporate & nonprofit organizations alike to assist in funding and creating the 1,500+ events that take place in the seven Downtown Premier Civic Spaces. Prior to his role now, Zak has worked as a stage manager and actor for theater companies in both Cincinnati & New York City and has a deep connection for change through the arts. In his down time, he loves a dirty martini and spending time with his dog, who is also named Martini.
