Project #1 of February is for a cause near & dear to my heart. This is a quilt top for Quilts of Valor. This will be given to another person to quilt & bind to then be donated to a special Veteran in honor of their service to our country. Being married to an USMC veteran I am proud to be a member of QOV & support our veterans. Semper Fi!

Project 2 of 2024 in the books. I bought this kit at one of my favorite quilt shops in VA Tippy Tote pattern by Sassy Sunflower Quilts!!!! Appropriate for me, who is also Sassy.....Complete with inside pockets as well as one on the front. Fun weekend project! Will definitely make another of these. Fork Mtn Quilting

Welcome to my quilting shop!! My name is Kelly but in the quilting world I'm known as Skippy after my grandmother who sewed. Literally the day after she passed away from Alzheimer's 4 years ago I took a quilting class and the rest is history. I never liked sewing but quilting always fascinated me so I figured it's a form of sewing and she would approve. I can actually smell her perfume as I sew and know she is with me. I will be posting various projects on this site as well as items for sale. If you see something you like or have an idea in mind reach out and I will see what I can do for you. I use quilting as a way to calm my PTSD, honor my grandmother and express my love of being creative. I welcome any and all comments and constructive criticism, be nice I'm still learning. I'm using this page as a way to honor my grandmother's memory and express my creative side.
