Recently, we stopped by Hemlock Middle School to see the incredible abstract sculptures being created by our 7th grade artists. Using a unique combination of wire, wood, and even nylon stockings, students have been transforming simple materials into imaginative three-dimensional forms.

This week, they began applying a base coat to their sculptures, bringing their creations one step closer to completion.

The future Performing Arts Center will showcase creativity in many forms, and it's exciting to see the artistic talents of our students already hard at work across the district. We can't wait to see these projects come to life!

Soon, these hallways will be filled with excitement, performers, families, and applause.
But the experience won’t stop at the stage.

As guests make their way through the Performing Arts Center, they’ll also be surrounded by creativity from across the district through rotating K–12 student art showcases, turning the hallways into a gallery that celebrates the talent of our students.

Every corner of this space was designed to bring the arts to life, and we can’t wait to welcome you inside.

Creativity is blooming in Hemlock 🌿🎨

Josie Wolgast hand-built this beautiful ceramic planter in Art 1, perfectly pairing her artistic talent with her summer job at a greenhouse. The finished piece came to life with her succulent plants and is a wonderful example of the creativity our students bring into every project.

Artwork like Josie’s will help make the future Performing Arts Center a space filled with creativity, inspiration, and student talent through our rotating student art gallery.
