Shaping Grain Woodworking, LLC We are a family business here in North Carolina. As this is not our day job, enjoyment is the goal.

Create an outlet for my desire to work with my hands and create. As Director of Security for a fortune 100 company, it is not common to work on tactile projects so this is the cure my desire to Shape the Grain of Wood.

Doing a lot of our own trade work for ourselves allows us to celebrate when we get a great company to do work for us. We had a fabulous experience with Valley Insulation LLC. We were so excited by the experience with Dominic and his crew that we cooked them steak tips on the last day. Not only did they do their craft as a top tier company, they are very nice guys and clean up the site well. I wish every experience was this good.

Just completed a sofa table for a customer and friend using their locally sourced live edge cedar. It took extra time as there were so many big holes that the epoxy kept dropping through and the cavity to fill was large. I love how it turned out. What do you think?

Had an epic adventure with my dad today! We checked out a lumber store in Raleigh. They had a monthly cut off sale which was awesome. Unfortunately we had a small car so we just grabbed a few scraps of black walnut.
