We're finally having a moment to sit down and appreciate all of the great people who made the Jubilee Jam Tent possible at Black Bear Americana Music Festival last weekend. Starting with David and Linda Foster, helping in every way, making the sound exquisite, keeping the kitchen flowing, and, especially, helping set up and take down the whole setup. Nick & Chris, the other Chris, Jeff, our guitar-playing troubadour who serenaded us Monday during break-down, Pam Jones, Super-Jayne, and the ever-calm & helpful Aim D'Mauro. Thanks to Jeff Wasbes for coming down from way upstate NY just in case we needed a hand.

Then there are the artists - sooo much talent in the JJT this year. Anne Marie Menta, Matt Popp, Shawn Taylor, Goodnight Moonshine, Shanna in a Dress, The Decker Bandits, and Shandy Lawson all nailed their performances and filled the tent with rapt listeners. Amazing. So much gratitude.

Super big TY to the JJT angels that helped us pack out Sunday & Monday. There's a lot of work that goes into creating this magic, and with out the support of our friends, this would indeed be a difficult task. Instead it was swift and joyful!

OK, so Black Bear Americana Music Festival has brought in Le Vent Du Nord for the headliner on Saturday night. I doubt most local Americana music lovers know these guys, so we have to put in a little plug here. These guys are awesome!

We were at the Summer Hoot at the Ashokan Center a few years ago and these guys came on. Ostensibly they are a trad Quebecois band, with fiddles, accordions, etc. But after a few minutes of their set, the entire audience leapt to their feet and danced in such joy as I have never seen. It wasn't like we had a choice - we HAD to dance. Have you ever heard a hurdy-gurdy shred???

Do yourself a favor and head over to the main stage Saturday night.
