I had the absolute privilege of creating these special pieces for my family using fabric from my Papa’s clothing. Each item carries a piece of him, making them more meaningful than anything I’ve ever sewn before.
While I’ve made Bible covers, bookmarks, tote bags, and other projects, this was different. This was personal. Every stitch was sewn with love and memories of a man who meant so much to all of us. It genuinely felt as if his presence surrounded me when creating these pieces.
My Papa was truly one of a kind—the best grandpa we could have ever asked for. I am incredibly grateful to Mama Jo for trusting me with his clothes and allowing me to turn them into keepsakes our family can cherish for years to come.
Knowing that I still have more of his fabric to create additional pieces for our family is such a gift. These items are more than fabric and thread; they’re a way to keep a small piece of Papa close to our hearts. ❤️
