Summer is in full swing and it's time for the Harsens Island Roots Music Festival. Bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket or hang out under the big tent. Live music fills the air all day without missing a beat. Local vendors share their talents and the Schoolhouse Grille Cooks up delicious food. Crispy bluegill, smoked ribs, Wood fired Pizza, fresh salads and more. The patio bar will keep you in high spirits with local brews, seltzers, wine and locally distilled libations. Oh, and we haven't even talked about the talent......

Delaware Ohio's eclectic acoustic /electric trio. Detroit born Rolf Remlinger and Ken and Annette Schwartz performing a mix of rock, country, folk and pop. 13 years and 400 performances. We love performing at Roots Music Festival!!!
Buffalo Larry and the Mighty Stampede 2:30 - 4:30
Larry born on Harsens Island in 1982 began his music career with Mike Schneider the bass player while attending Marine City high School. They came together to form the Mighty Stampede. Collectively this super group has worked with artists such as Willie Nelson, George Clinton, Candlebox, Buddy Miles and Junior Brown. Blending traditional country, rock, funk and blues. They are a Metro Detroit favorite. Larry currently plays out of Vegas with his band The Rhyolite Sound

Bringing reggae/ rock/jam music. Originals and tasty covers performing through the Midwest for a decade including shows with Quasi Kings, Mighty Mystic and Land of Panda and festivals like the Cleveland reggae fest, Arts, beats and eats and of course their favorite. Roscoe and Anamaria. 6:30 - 7:30
Veterans to the Detroit music scene claiming 13 Music awards between them. Anamaria graced the stage of Michigan Opera theater for 20 years and shared the stage with Prince. Roscoe has played with The Buzztones, Thornetta Davis and the Don Was Allstars.
Playing a classic mix of soul, rock, country and Americana in their own twisted way.
