Harrisonburg, it’s been fun! But…we are headed North.
Thanks for everyone who stopped in and talked cooking over the last couple of years and to our amazing employees who represented us so well. This will be our last weekend open at the Liberty Street Mercantile, but you can find us at the Loose Cow Mercantile in Front Royal and a new concept shop we are working on in Strasburg over the next couple of months.

Happy cooking and see you around!

Back in stock! These are the perfect size for just about anything. But most importantly we’ve found them to be an essential EDC item for the back pocket or purse.

Friend need a hand at the bbq?

Cooking up that fish on the side of the river?

Feeding yourself on an epic quest to mount doom to save the world? No problem.

Happy cooking!

When we started Dryad, we weren’t thinking about cookware. We were thinking about the things that get passed down and the memories that are made cooking together.

The skillet that’s cooked a hundred meals. The recipes shared around the fire. The evenings spent cooking together after a day outdoors.

A good spatula becomes part of those moments. It earns its scratches honestly, helps teach the next generation their way around a skillet, and sticks around long enough to collect stories of its own.

Maybe someday the skillet gets handed down. Maybe the spatula goes with it.

This Father’s Day, give him something built for years of meals, time together, and memories still waiting to be made.

Forgot the spatula once. Spent the whole weekend thinking about what cast iron actually demands. A blade that tapers thin enough to get under a hard sear. A head wide enough that you’re not chasing food around the pan. An angle between blade and handle calculated for the depth and curve of cast iron walls. Then we kept cooking — on grill grates where you need that thin edge to pry without tearing, on flat tops where the wide blade earns its keep moving volume fast. Turns out the same geometry that works for cast iron works everywhere fire is involved. We didn’t set out to design a spatula for every surface. We just wanted to stop eating bad food in the woods.
