Thank you Jerry's Home Improvement Center for your 2026 Platinum Sponsorship, helping us make this celebration free to everyone!

An amazing community supporter and employee owned, their mission is "to create exceptional value for you, our Home Improvement customers, by providing you with our outstanding selection, quality products, guaranteed low prices every day & knowledgeable friendly service."

Jerry’s, Eugene’s original discount building material store, was founded in November of 1961 by Jerry and Merle Orem. Decades later, Jerry’s has grown from 2 employees to hundreds.

Jerry’s opened for business with a 5,000 sq. ft. store located just 2 blocks south of our Eugene store on Highway 99 North. After many remodels and expansions, Jerry’s ran out of space.

In December of 1985, with just over 20 employees, Jerry’s moved to a larger store on the corner of Highway 99 North and Beltline. Again, after several remodels and expansions, Jerry’s needed more room to grow.

In November of 1996, Jerry‘s opened the doors of a brand new 350,000 sq. ft. facility on the corner of Highway 99 North and Beltline, and closed the doors of the smaller store. That store was located where the current front entrance drive is today.

After many customer requests, and wanting to provide two convenient locations, Jerry’s opened its Springfield store in January 2003 at 2525 Olympic Street, to better serve customers.

In December of 2010, the Orem family transitioned from private ownership to 100% Employee Ownership, providing an opportunity for Jerry’s Team Members to share in the success and partner in Jerry’s growth.

A lot has changed since 1961, but one thing that remains the same is the tradition and commitment to consistently strive to provide you with the best customer service and the products you need at competitive prices.
