**THE WEEK THAT WENT, THE WEEK TO COME**

Last week: Monday night Vanessa had her regular Beginner class but the performance team showed up to practice and we took over! That practice was really productive. Tuesday night we had Performance Team practice for the performance at the end of the month. Thursday night was a regular group lesson. We also had a Saturday morning lesson with a private lesson right after, which was a blast.

Next week: This upcoming week will have the same schedule of Monday night Beginner with Vanessa, Tuesday night performance team, Thursday group lesson, and Saturday morning group lesson. In addition, Friday night I'll give a salsa lesson at Curtis Creek at 7pm. Drop-in rate is $15, but if you're curious, there's plenty of seating if you only want to observe and see if you're interested.

I still remember the exact moment when I discovered Jungian ideas that allowed me to understand some things about myself. Martin Seligman uses the term "flourishing" instead of happiness, but his findings are close to these Five Pillars of Happiness: Physical/mental health, personal relationships, perception of beauty, satisfactory work, spiritual outlook. The week that went, the week to come.

Last week: Monday night Vanessa had her regular Beginner class. New people attended and they are having a good time learning. Tuesday night we had Performance Team practice as we get ready for a performance at the end of the month. It is a paid gig, so the money made goes to the students learning/performing, so I'm happy about that! I hope to get us a lot more paid gigs in the future. Thursday night was a regular group lesson. we have a number of new people taking private lessons and I try to schedule them one right after the other so that at least we can get to know each other in passing between classes. We also had a Saturday morning lesson last week which ended up being constant repetition and SWEATING like we were in the sauna.

Next week: This upcoming week will have the same schedule of Monday night Beginner with Vanessa, Tuesday night performance team, Thursday group lesson, and Saturday morning group lesson. The performance team (those who can) will be meeting in Quincy at the same time as Vanessa's beginner class to get in more "reps".
