FULL STRENGTH hails from Houghton/Hancock and represents the Keweenaw and are standard bearers of UP/HC! This new hardcore super group made a splash when they recently dropped a four song demo on Detroit label, Total Supply. Full Strength is going to rip it up! And this time they're going FULL FORCE!

At long last THE GOD EATERS are making their anticipated YOOP! FEST debut! This mathy Marquette, MI stalwart band hammers home driving/pounding noise rock. THEY BRING THE ROCK AND WE ARE GOING TO ROCK AND WE WILL ALL BE ROCKING. EVERYONE WILL BE ROCKING. BUT THEY WILL ALSO ATTACK WITH THEIR ANGULAR ART JAZZ WAVES! GIRD THY LOINS!

BIMBO

Returning to YOOP! FEST for the second year in a row, this sibling Yooper duo hails from Marquette, MI and plays avant garde angular art-punk rock. After releasing a couple EPs and near constant touring, BIMBO is set to release their latest debut full length album, "The Bimbonacci Sequence" on East Coast label Exploding in Sound! We are excited to have BIMBO back at YOOP! Fest and on the release weekend of their new record! LET'S GO!

WILT

WILT is a metal influenced hardcore band based right here in the Keweenaw Peninsula/Houghton area. After dropping their debut EP "In Misery" in 2023, WILT has been consistently recording and releasing a series of digital singles. WILT is a cornerstone of the U.P.'s hardcore and heavy music scene, featuring members of Spare the Rod, Jettisunn, Totally Deece, and more, a making their mark with intense performances, leaving it all on the stage (or floor)!!

HEADLINING NIGHT 2 of YOOP! FEST! SATURDAY SEPT 19th

GRAHAM HUNT

WI-based musician/song-writer/producer Graham Hunt has consistently been pumping out sing-a-longable alternative/indie rock albums every year for nearly a decade under his solo band moniker--AND THIS YEAR IS NO DIFFERENT! His new album, American Pyramid, is set to release on Aug 28th via east coast powerhouse Run for Cover Records. One hallmark of Graham's current sound is mixing catchy pop-rock tunes primed for a summer Sunday afternoon with funk/break beat drums, creating fuzzy nostalgic vibes that harken back to block party barbeques of the past. At least that's what I hear--It's heartfelt good time music that is also smart and full of layered instrumentation--the perfect cap stone to a weekend of music bringing friends, old and new together!!!

HEADLINING NIGHT 1 of YOOP! FEST! FRIDAY SEPT 18th

THE CROSSES

This Milwaukee, WI based band is fronted by Dan Kubinski and is the spiritual successor of legendary punk band, Die Kreuzen (Touch and Go Records), formed in 1981. The Crosses came together in the mid-00's and not only are they known to play the blistering seminal Midwestern hardcore punk and later experimental postpunk-laced avant alt-rock of Die Kreuzen, but they also wield repertoire of original Crosses cuts released as "The Outlier" through a collaboration between Milwaukee's Triple Eye Industries, Rushmor Records, and Spectrogram Records.

We are excited and honored to welcome THE CROSSES to YOOP! FEST VI and the Keweenaw Peninsula!! They are playing FRIDAY SEPT 18TH! AND SURE TO FIRE UP THE O.G. HARDCORE PUNKS AND THE YOUNG GUNS ALIKE!!

A personal note, two of my earliest acquisitions after moving to Madison and trying to start a D.I.Y. band was grabbing the COWS AND BEER 7" reissue from EARWAX RECORDS and checking out CENTURY DAYS on CD from the public library. The variation in style and mood from the same band impressed upon me that there are no limits but those that we put upon ourselves AND TO BRING THE ENERGY AND CONVICTION!
