🍦✈️🏀 Foundation Week Spotlight: Chase Woods 🏀✈️🍦

Today I had the pleasure of meeting one of our Foundation Week Scholarship winners, Chase Woods, at one of his favorite places—Baskin-Robbins! 🍨

Since we all know Chase loves his sweets, it was only right that one of his gifts included some Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups! 😊 The smile on his face said it all.

This was our very first time meeting in person, and we had a wonderful conversation. I had the opportunity to learn more about Chase, his goals, and the dreams he has for his future. He shared that he would love to play basketball, run track, and is looking forward to the day he can drive independently. 🚗🏃🏽‍♂️🏀

What stood out most was seeing a young man who is working toward greater independence and a mom who is committed to helping him reach his full potential. These conversations are exactly why Foundation Week exists—to build relationships, identify strengths, and create a roadmap for success.

We’re excited to walk alongside him as he continues building the skills and confidence needed to reach his goals.

Home Away From Home Autism Center (HAFH) is now accepting inquiries for Foundation Week — a unique assessment and planning experience designed for teens and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

During Foundation Week, participants complete life skills, independence, social, and community-based assessments while families receive a personalized Individualized Action Plan (IAP) filled with recommendations, resources, and next steps for success.

Whether you’re preparing for greater independence, employment, community involvement, or adulthood, we’re here to help build the foundation.

Congratulations to our Foundation Week Scholarship Winner, Chase Woods!

At just 16 years old, Chase is full of personality and keeps everyone on their toes. 🤪 His mom says, “You never know what he will say next!” and that’s exactly what makes him so special.

When he’s not making people laugh, Chase enjoys cooking, pizza, peanut butter, and all things sweet. (Just don’t offer him a banana! 🍌😂)

We are incredibly proud of Chase and excited to be part of his journey through Foundation Week. His bright smile, unique sense of humor, and unforgettable personality make him one of a kind.
