Last summer, I walked off a stage knowing something had changed.
As much as I love playing live & always will, I knew it was time to start working on something I had been dreaming about doing for years.
Launching my own production music library.
I've been fortunate enough to see my music work from a few different sides. I've had success as an artist, writing music for sync & having that music represented by some incredible libraries.
At the end of the day, my biggest passion has always been writing & creating music.
And one thing that has never gotten old is watching something I wrote show up on television.
I still get excited when I hear one of my songs on a show. I don't care how many times it happens. And when it's something I wrote with somebody else, getting to share that win with a co-writer makes it even better.
That's a big part of why I wanted to build Seeing Red Music
I'm incredibly proud of the relationships I've built with the libraries that represent my music & I intend to continue writing for them. But I also wanted to build something of my own & hopefully create more of those opportunities for the handful of writers who have been part of this journey with me.
Since launching Seeing Red, every day has been a learning experience.
Connecting with people throughout the industry. Listening to what supervisors, producers & clients actually need in today's market. Figuring out how we can accommodate those needs. Learning the business from a completely different side of the desk.
Most importantly, building trust & relationships.
There isn't some giant master plan where I expect Seeing Red Music to become something overnight.
I'm building it one relationship, one project, one track & hopefully one placement at a time.
And I'm really enjoying the process.
