We can’t wait to see you Saturday! Don’t forget we are in Meansville at Chestnut Oak Arena. Please use the 2nd entrance to keep traffic flowing in the same direction.
Check-in will be from 7:15 am to 8:30 am. We need everyone checked in by 8:30, so please don’t wait until 8:00/8:15 to get in line. If you already have your Membership form/waiver printed and signed it will go faster (you should have received it with your registration confirmation email). We accept cash, check, or Venmo.
Contestants will recite their Bible verse during checkin.
Pre-purchased shirts will be available to pick up at check-in. We will have a limited number for sale, as well as, cowpunchers caps. We will still enforce a strict dress code. Western Attire: boots, jeans, belt, cowboy hat or helmet, and longsleeve western shirt or the neon pink or blue cowpunchers shirt. All shirts must be tucked in.
There is the potential for rain, but we don’t have to worry about that because the arena is covered. There are also nice restrooms and bleachers. Please help us keep them tidy.
Cowpunchers Board will be in the neon green shirts. We are always available for questions, but please refrain from entering the crows nest. There will be other members on the ground to answer all your questions or notify the crows nest if needed.
We will start with Grand Entry and then mutton busting, chute do***ng, and goats off the horse in the arena. At the same time we will be doing dummy roping (bootleggers to knee-high), goat tie on the ground and goat tail untie to the side of the arena. If your child mutton busts go there first and then straight to the dummy roping and goats area.
Running events will follow: Poles, Barrels, and Arena Race. We will end the day with sled and live roping.
