Have you been putting off having family photos taken? This is your chance to capture those moments while also helping a wonderful family. Join us at Edgerton Park in New Haven on Sunday October 20th to enjoy a crisp fall day with your family and friends. Your fall mini session will begin centered around a beautiful golden Victorian settee situated within the gorgeous colors of fall in New England. It's sure to be a fun day creating precious memories! One hundred percent of your investment will go to support a local resident, Brooke Royka, who is battling a rare form of cancer.
Brooke is a 31 year old life long resident of North Haven who loves life, her family, friends, sports,and most importantly her husband, 8 year old son and 2 year old daughter. Her journey began with pain in her ankle . She consulted several doctors and was diagnosed with a sprain and treated with physical therapy. Three years forward, a lump developed and the pain was extreme. Brooke had a tumor on her ankle which was surgically removed . A few days later she received that terrifying call, 'It's cancer." Brooke was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a dangerous and extremely rare form of cancer. It effects the soft tissue that connects, supports ans surrounds the bones and organs in your body. Because she is so young, treatment will include aggressive chemotherapy and radiation. This will leave her unable to work most days and her family unable to pay the medical expenses that her family will incur now and for years to come.
