Small business Saturday! (But, heck, make it the whole next week.) High quality 12"x16" prints of the works below are available at the WashCo Arts gallery store for just $50 a pop! I might suggest you take care of a majority of your gift buying at the Council---they have a beautiful, eclectic range of creations, all from local artisans! They're open Tue thru Sat each week.

Christmas is less than 6 weeks away. This year, I'm offering a very unique gift idea. (Actually I offer this all year long, but just go with it...) If you have a loved one who has or will have a landmark birthday, I create large caricatures (22"×28") composed of famous people born the same year, all depicted in the shape of the person's age. An example is below, which I did for my sister: it was for a 40th birthday, 40 celebrities born the year she was, all posed in the shape of a large 40. I even put a caricature of the birthday person in the picture.

Soooo, Day 1's word was 'Mustache.'
Time spent on drawing: 25 minutes.

Glad the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts extended the entry deadline for the Cumberland Valley Artists Exhibition. It gives me a chance to knock out a painting to enter. Background and main shapes and colors are slapped on--long way to go. Oh, what will it be?
