After I gave birth & my husband saw THE FACE OF OUR BABY, he began sneaking out every night — so I FOLLOWED HIM.
I (33F) almost didn’t make it through childbirth. Blood loss, alarms, doctors whispering — I thought I was dying, holding Ryan’s (35M) hand.
Then I woke up.
They put Lily in my arms. Tiny. Perfect.
"Do you want to hold her?" I asked.
Ryan nodded.
But the second he really looked at her — her face — something changed.
Fear. Panic. Something… wrong.
"She’s perfect," he whispered.
It didn’t sound real.
After that — he wasn’t the same. No jokes. No warmth. Just… watching her. Like she meant something he couldn’t say.
Then the nights started.
Late. Quiet. Excuses that made no sense.
One night, I heard the door.
I snapped.
Followed him into the rain.
He drove for over an hour — to the middle of nowhere — and stopped at this broken house.
I got out, soaked, shaking.
"Ryan — WHAT IS GOING ON?!"
He turned — and I swear I’ve never seen that look before.
Like he’d been caught.
Like everything was over.
"DON’T YOU GET IT?!" he shouted.
Then he broke.
Collapsed right there in the rain.
