Last week I stopped in to Cafelavie Bakery to try a chocolate croissant for the first time. I fell in love with them! It had a buttery, flaky and chocolate taste that I wished I would have tried a long time ago. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of my chocolate croissant because I ate it lol. I also tried the blueberry Danish, and they are decadent. I tried the chicken and beef mushroom pie. You can tell she has crafted these recipes and has taken her time. Everything has a unique taste. The pies reminded me of something my grandma would fix me. All employees are polite and courteous. It's a nice place to come in, eat, sit down, and catch up. Make sure to grab a menu and peruse through it cause there are a lot of things to try. I know i will be back again😃 looking at all the display cases had me feeling like I was a kid in a candy store! There is one thing I would love to try by her that I did not see on the menu: Fried green tomatoes. Next time I stop in, I also want to try the banana pudding and the Dubai cream crush. She also has a drink station inside the café that you will see in my pictures. My trip was cut short because I had to return to work and walk off what I ate😃

I wanted to show everyone one of my favorite stores in West Jefferson! It's Gray Ghost Antiques & Collectibles. I stopped in, And the nostalgia just hit me. Every room has so many genres. Lots of vintage and Collectibles as far as the eye can see. It reminds you of one of those Twilight Zone/Goosebumps episodes. Everything you see Will bring back a memory and you will go home wanting everything in the store! It has a homey vibe and a cool cat that will keep you on your toes. If I could afford the deer, It would be coming home with me lol Once you walk in the front door, it's mysterious and enchanting. The dark walls and Decor mixed with the natural light become an inviting feel as you walk into every room. You can tell the store brings out Justin and Alexis personalities. One-of-a-kind items have been mixed with modern decor and have been placed everywhere. The Gray Ghost will have you guessing and wanting to interact with things you see. They like to pick out items that could fall into vintage/Dark Academia. If they find it interesting they bring it back to the shop with them. I sat down with Justin and Alexa and asked them what got them started and they said this is something that they have wanted to do at an early age with his Grandma Nellie. They always said one day, They would have a shop of their own. After they lost their Son Grayson, They both were not in a healthy state of mind. After a time, They gave it a shot! Now that they work together, They get to travel together to a lot of places that we see on their timelines. Along the way, They find pieces for their shop and home. They get to see friends and family while working which is a plus for them. They chose the location after seeing the bank fault with the safe! Justin said, It just went perfectly with some of our items. Those chose the name Gray Ghost to honor their son in some sort of way. Justin said sometimes you can hear footsteps in the back... He is here with us too! A lot of their heart and soul is in the store. I hope you all enjoy the pictures and info on the store. Come check out what they have to offer! It's that time of year again! Everytime I come in to Repurposefully Yours, I try not to spend all my tip money😃 I love to look around and smell the candles and make my way upstairs to the DIY room I call it. There is one of a kind pieces that you can make it your own or just spruce it up. I like to check out everyroom and my favorite is the Christmas room🎄She has a lot of "One of a kind items" You can't find anywhere else. If you don't pay attention to the time, You can get lost there. Every room is different with a wide variety of things to look at.
