Grief doesn’t always look like sadness.

Sometimes it’s watching a sunset and missing the person next to you.
Sometimes it’s a the weight of a child that is no longer there.
Sometimes it’s eating your feelings in the form of egg rolls.
BUT
Sometimes it looks like family.
Sometimes it’s creating.
Sometimes it looks like pouring your heart into something beautiful when you don’t quite have the words for what you’re carrying.
Sometimes it’s telling your children tales of loved ones.
Sometimes it’s a smile from your husband.

Many of the pieces I create are inspired by healing, memories, growth, and the people we hold close even when they’re no longer beside us.
Art has a way of helping us process what feels too big to explain.
