The artist states, “This series of ceramic plates celebrates fish, the fisherman, and the simple rituals around cooking and sharing a meal. Inspired by quiet waters, early mornings, and time spent outdoors, each piece blends function with storytelling. These plates are meant to be used; holding food in a way that connects back to where it came from, or hanging in a well loved space to commemorate a special catch. Intended to celebrate a full circle moment—catch, cook, and gather—captured in clay.”

‘Form and Function,’ ‘s collection exploring color, pattern, and dimensional form.✨

The artist states, Although the subject of my work often changes, experimentation with color is the cornerstone of every painting. Along with the study of color interactions, this collection of paintings explores the contrast of line and form. By combining flat pattern with dimensional objects, the canvas creates a space in which these contrasting elements harmonize. This work creates an opportunity to explore the dimensionality of myself as well. While gestural brushwork shows my hand as an artist, glimmers of my past life as an apparel designer are intertwined in lineation. The creative process of this collection brought my worlds together within the layers of color, order and expression.”
