Another commission out the door!
This painting was actually 3+ years in the making and finalllllly finished. Thank you to amazing collectors who have the patience for this sporadic artist

#2016 recaps are going around and I was curious about my 2016 - it took me to some great memories -

💕 the year I fell in love

🇬🇧 the year visiting the UK and becoming even MORE of an Anglophile - thank you for the amazing trip & for the amazing horseback shot

🖼️ the year of lots of art museums &

🎨 the year of falling back in love with art after taking a break - if you remember this era, you remember lots of fun fashion and sweets drawing (and a watercolor portrait of my great grandmother).

How was this 10 years ago????

You were very good to me, 2025.

Lots of art was made (including a memorable artist residency with and fulfilling a dream to design a book cover with ) 🎉

Lots of coffee was consumed.

Lots of planning and working in the garden.

And lots of slow, intentional time with family (not to mention our daughter’s birth).

More of this for 2026, please.

Oh hey 👋
I’ve been absent here and that’s my bad. I’ve been finishing up ornaments (and quite a few are gifts so I can’t share them) and other commissions (also gifts) so that’s meant not sharing as much.
But more so, the older I get the more protective I get of my Decembers 🎄 I love this time of year and with 2 small children, I’m experiencing the joy of Christmas all over again. I’m taking in the small, quieter moments of this season and less social media.

I’ve got plenty of plans in the studio for the new year. But for now, I’m going to enjoy my cuppa by the fire and read “Twas the night before Christmas” to my kids for the 50th time 😊
