LETTER TO BOB WILLS FEST FANS

Dear Bob Wills Fest Fans… Well we have been working hard trying to line up some great artists for Bob Wills Fest this year….. our date this year combined with the Super El Nino weather event has us very worried about outdoor music and events…. Supposed to be wetter and colder for us this year…. And most of us don’t do colder very well anymore…. So we have dialed back some things this year… no outdoor bands during the day on Saturday… All Events Indoors this year…

But we will have a terrific triple bill concert on Friday Night, November 6th at our newly renovated Greenville Municipal Auditorium with some great traditional Western Swing and a Bob Wills loving 90’s country classic artist from Oklahoma…. Tickets on sale soon

Then all day Saturday, November 7th we will feature one of the best fiddle contests in the Nation from morning until late afternoon (free admission) at the Landmark on Lee Street building where WW2 Hero Audie Murphy enlisted in 1942, (sadly our Texan Theater has not re-opened since the passing of its owner last December)

… then prepare yourself for some awesome 60’s, 70’s and 80’s classic country (we promise you will be singing every song) on Saturday night, November 7th at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium from one of your favorite actual King Bob Wills friend’s sons…. This awesome sibling duo & tight band played to over 1,000 folks last time they were here….

And they will be joined with two other groups celebrating country fiddle music and a little Western Swing to cap off two great days celebrating the King of Western Swing, Bob Wills…

All seats are Reserved Seats for the Auditorium Concerts and free admission for the Fiddle Contest all day Saturday… free parking everywhere too … also we have a few more restaurants open now Downtown so we encourage you to give them a try while you are here too including a new steakhouse, the 1846 restaurant & upscale Speakeasy and Dodies Cajun Kitchen seafood restaurant at the Farmers Market …. Full Bar beverage offerings too at all our restaurants Downtown serving Dinner service…

JASON ROBERTS TO BE INDUCTED INTO NATIONAL FIDDLER HALL OF FAME - MARCH 8, 2026 AT CAIN'S BALLROOM

TULSA, OK - Jason Roberts, Grammy Award winning fiddle player and leader of The Bob Wills Texas Playboys, will be inducted into the National Fiddler Hall of Fame on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Spending nearly 20 years with the world-famous band Asleep at the Wheel, Jason’s signature style of Western Swing has entertained fans all over the world. In 2019, Jason was selected to lead The Bob Wills Texas Playboys, following the retirement of long-time leader Leon Rausch and the death of Tommy Allsup.
This special event, celebrating what would have been Bob Wills’ 121st birthday, promises to be an evening of great music and dancing.
Tulsa based National Fiddler Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring individuals for their contributions to the art of fiddling, preserving, educating and promoting its historical and social significance.
Tickets are available at www.cainsballroom.com. Doors open at 4:00 pm with the show starting at 5:00 pm. All ages welcome!
