Our narrative begins just where the usual “Christmas card” nativity story ends. From the massacre in Bethlehem, follow the Holy Family in their flight to Egypt. And unite the suffering of our time with the turmoil of first century Israel, as together we cry “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”.

I have always loved Thanksgiving. But year after year I have experienced, and heard others lament as well, how so often when the holiday is over, we realize we nearly forgot to even remember what we’re thankful for.

This has usually come with a little pang of guilt inside.

But I’ve come to wonder if the reason we sometimes struggle with gratitude is that we are quite preoccupied with managing our suffering.

I found that I often seek to polarize sadness with happiness, and so, it’s quite natural that I would forget to be still and allow for gratitude to surface. Because, after all, what else might surface?

I made this Thanksgiving video series, not to help us write a classic list of “what we’re thankful for”, but in hopes that it would help us all to slow down and invite Jesus into our messy reality this holiday season, and encourage us to “offer up a sacrifice of praise” Heb 15:13.

I am so excited to offer this minicourse for FREE and hope it will bless as many families as possible.

In this minicourse we will learn:
~That sadness and gratitude do not have to oppose each other
~That Jesus Himself linked thanksgiving with sacrifice
~A way to offer our feelings to God even when we don’t have words

Each video is only a couple of minutes long making it perfect for punctuating your busy day with praise.

Breanna teaches art classes at her childrens' K-12 Classical Academy in Greenville, S.C.

Faced with another year of teaching art classes, artist and teacher Breanna Bellino sought to try something truly unique.

As she thought about the prospect of teaching a classroom full of young, boisterous, budding artists, she figured that she could really use a teacher’s assistant.

But whom could she trust and rely upon, with whom could she share teaching responsibilities and perspectives, day in and day out?

Quite ingenious, isn't it? (I'm her husband, so I can boast about her!)

Breanna decided that she could be her own teaching assistant by creating video tutorials for the students to watch while she could walk the room, aiding her students individually!

These are her videos now available to you as a tutorial series.

In the Creating With Our Creator art tutorial series, Breanna brings a unique perspective on art, one that reinvigorates the arts with Christian spirituality and scriptural meditations themed on the Genesis creation account.

This tutorial series will help you or your student(s) bring back Christian meditational practices into your art projects.

Led by the Genesis account, Breanna’s unique “Light out of Darkness” artistic perspective aids students’ artistic intuitiveness, and overall success in artistic creation.

This unique perspective will help students get in touch with their innate creative ability, even if they don’t think of themselves as artistic!
