Sorry for the long caption! 😂 But maybe you’ll get inspired along the way!
WELCOME TO MY STUDIO!
Some people tell me, “Yo ECAST, why do you charge so low? Why do you give away your sauce? You should be Exclusive! Don’t waste your time with that foo! You should do this, you should do that…”
And to all of that, I say…
I’ve been there. Done that. And more.
But my goal?
Simply to inspire.
Back in 2006, when I first became a music teacher, I was barely a college student. I used to tell myself, “don’t teach everything you know.” Someone taught me along the way that if I taught everything I knew, someone would replace me in the future.
It took me a while to realize how wrong that mindset was.
So I let it go.
Instead, I decided to give everyone my all. No holding back. No gatekeeping. Because I realized something.
It doesn’t matter how much you give. What matters is what people do with what you gave them.
Being an educator has always been one of my favorite things to do. And it fills my heart to see how many of my students have gone to perform on stages bigger than I ever dreamed off standing myself.
And every time I see that, I’m reminded of how worthwhile it is to give your all.
But now… why this picture?
This was my first studio back in 2009.
I hear it all time:
“ECAST, I wish I had your gear.”
“I wish I had a creative space like yours.”
“I could make great music if I had what you have.”
And I always tell people. Non of that matters.
What matters if YOU!
You carry the passion to create the art!
Not the gear. Not the time. Not the equipment.
Only YOU!
So why hold yourself back because of things you don’t have?
Just like everyone else, I started from the bottom. And honestly, I still feel like I haven’t accomplished much or maybe even anything at all.
But there’s one thing I hold close to my heart:
Keep inspiring people.
Keep motivating the community.
Keep giving back.
Because legends aren’t created by what they had.
They’re created by the work they leave behind while they walked among us.
So if I can help someone believe in themselves, learn something new, create something meaningful, or simply keep going…
Then I’ve already won…
