We’re pleased to welcome Brett Swanson to the Western Massachusetts Comic Book Show!
Brett Swanson is an artist who specializes primarily in comic book and cartoon art and dabbles occasionally in fine and abstract art. Brett lives in Stonington, CT with his wife and 3 dogs. Brett self-publishes his own line of comic books for kids, and kids of all ages. Power Kid Comics has 15 issues in the series, as well as 3 collected editions. Each book is written, drawn, inked and colored by Brett. In addition, he has several other independent comic books he has created such as The Sentinel, other independent comic books he has created such as The Sentinel, Steel Dragon and US Male and Little Max. Brett is a 1991 graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Arts and he has published several cartoon strips for local newspapers and national magazines. Sky Boivin returns to the Western Massachusetts Comic Book Show! Sky Boivin is a native indie author of poetry and fantasy stories, mixed media artwork and photography. Most recent works include new photography books and a new collaboration with Ed Stover featuring a collection of dark Alice in Wonderland poetry.

We are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Will Murray, the acclaimed writer and co-creator of Marvel’s Squirrel Girl.

Murray was a longtime comics writer whose work spanned decades and included contributions to Marvel, DC, and other major publishers. A staple in the local comic community, Will was a recurring guest at the Western Massachusetts Comic Book Show and other regional events over the years. He will be remembered for his creativity, humor, and lasting contributions to the world of comics.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, colleagues, and fans during this difficult time. His legacy will live on through the stories and characters he helped bring to life.
