Been a minute but had some time to get some painting done today! Done on 11x14 paper.

When I take a few days, a week, off from consistent painting, there’s a fear of forgetting “how to paint”, and nothing seems to be going right. That was the case with this one. Ultimately, I decided to stick to just throwing paint around, instead of being stuck in my head trying to remember all the lectures and lessons I’ve learned so far. The lightbulb turned on and the hand does the rest. Glad I stuck to it til the end! Really liked how this one came out.

One of my favorite movies of all time, Logan. Super happy with how this one is turning out! I’ve been practicing really honing in on the beginning of a painting, staying loose and building slowly, varying brushstrokes. I can push this so much more which is exciting.

Completed January 2022 Challenge for the second year. What a crazy month filled with a lot of personal challenges, but managed to get a painting in every single day. Learned a lot this go around.
