My work varies like the Kansas winds.

Many express my love of nature and architecture. I paint on canvas with brush and palette knife and sketch with ink and color. I incorporate texture and depth into my work to express feeling and movement. Background
I have had a brush in my hand since the age of twelve when I worked in a ceramic shop. I was paid by the piece which got me out of babysitting for work. I received my BA from Washburn

University in Psychology. I used my love of art in therapeutic areas with emotionally disturbed youth and Alzheimer's patients. I have taken art classes in Wichita and Manhattan. I have painted with oils, watercolor and acrylics and drawn with pencil, ink, and pastels. I have shown at City Arts in Wichita, KS, The Manhattan Art Center, Third Thursday Art Crawl, Manhattan, KS, Maker's Street Art Show, Lindsborg, KS, Edward Jones office (Anderson Knight Building), Manhattan and have been a featured artist at Radina's in Manhattan, KS.

A most cherished memory is that of the patio swing that was in my niece’s backyard. It has been many years and so much had changed, but that moment and place remain special.

I thought I would end the year sharing some of the work I have done with my creative mindfulness class. They are a bit quirky! Each one created from a prompt and conveying something truly personal.
1. “Decadent”.
2. “Let it Be”.
3. “Creating from Love”.
4. “Influence”.
A deep thank you to Jodi Rose Gonzalez for a year of art, connection, and inspiration.,

This is “Rhythm”. On days that are not 100%, I doodle. This reflects my feelings of calm and cool. Using repetition and a single hue, it is hopefully comforting to look at. The simple doodles keep me in tune.
