I can repair phones and tablets, I just choose not to. And here’s the reason!

I did additional damage to my own phone after replacing the battery a few weeks ago; I must have used too much IPA and damaged my front camera.

So I had to change the front camera in a very specific way in order to keep Face ID working properly.

My phone is back in good working order and ready to make more repair videos!!!

Had a no-power PS5 repair to start off the weekend 💪🏼. This thang was pretty dirty and had signs of prior bug infestation with damage as a result 🤢

Not to worry. I was able to identify the issue and get this thing back up and running 💪🏼🛠️😎

Gave it a thorough cleaning and cleaned/reflowed the liquid metal as well 🫧🧼

Back-to-back-to-back PS5 controller repairs today 🎮 Talk about Déjà vu 😂

✅ 6 TMR joysticks
✅ 2 button conductive films
✅ 3 detailed deep cleanings

I’m still trying to figure out the best method for easy joystick swaps. I can definitely do em, but I need to work on my efficiency! 💯

Cleanings are a long process no matter what lol 🧼🫧🧽

New microphone for better audio quality on my videos!! Big shoutout to Chris from Layered Foundry for the recommendation!! You were right, this thing is amazing!!

Onto today’s repair! I picked up this overheating PS5 off Marketplace for just $100. It needed a deep, deep cleaning and a bunch of sticker removal lol.

I also decided to replace the HDMI port for a little “future proofing” to be sure it would last a long time!!

Check out the process to get this thing back to being fully operational and check the after shorts 🤩🤩

Here’s some new territory for me!!

I mainly stick with current-gen consoles, but I’ve always wanted to recap a GameCube optical drive board. I finally had my opportunity to do it!!

These older consoles seem to come apart much easier than the newer ones! Bigger screws, less of them, and larger components that what we see on these newer boards!

This was fun, but I’ll stick with my PS5s lol
