Come and join fellow resistors as we take our ABOLISH ICE message to the sidewalk in front on Frederick Meijer Gardens the next 3 Tuesdays, starting this evening at 5pm.

Signs will be provided for you, we just need fellow resistors to hold them.

Dates are as follows-
Aug 11 - 5-6pm
Aug 18 - 5-6pm - SRGR in attendance.
Aug 25 - 5-6pm - SRGR in attendance.

The Singing Resistance will be joining in the Hollyhock Lane Parade this year!!!

A parade that has been going on since 1934, but I bet they have never had a resistance group singing before!?

Join us as we sing tunes like, We Shall Overcome, Lean On Me, Vote Em’ Out and so many more!

We encourage not only singing, but hand instruments, like drums, tambourines, hand shakers, etc.

Singing Resistance will be back at Veteran’s Memorial Bridge on Friday!

Swing by and join us for an hour!

Hand instruments encouraged, singing voices encouraged, a good attitude that’s always fighting against injustices and the threat of fascism encouraged 📣🎶📣🎶

Singing Resistance has been invited to a potluck on Monday, July 27, 6-8pm. Save the date early to come by and meet others in the community working towards equality, educating others on community needs, sharing resources and organizations, and so much more!!

The summer is continuing to look bright 🙂 ☀️

Has anyone heard of Spirit of The Woods Folk Festival?!?

This year on June 20, the festival is giving 50 minutes to any participating Singing Resistance groups in Michigan, a spot to sing songs from their specific group.
One of our song leaders is preparing to go and so we are reaching into our community to ask if you can join her and represent the Singing Resistance of Grand Rapids!!
