Did you know I collect banana jewelry? These beauties by my outstanding comedy pal are among my favorites. Tonight I'm going to wear them while watching her TV debut in on Peacock.
I don't know how to express how deserving, authentic, not to mention, fu***ng hilarious this woman is. I've learned so much about how to be a better ally to indigenous people through her. Thanks to Jana, I've now derailed multiple dates calling people out for using the term "spirit animal." Now you can too!!!

DAY 10 of : Small Detail

Many D+H creations are buffed, shaped, and polished to give them a unique look. The smooth or rounded effect seen on these is a great example. It's a level of detail, unique in the market, adds to each piece's handmade look.

I was going to write a long post about all the cool stuff on my desk, but... I'm soooooo tired. Running this business, looking for a job/freelancing, and training for a marathon is a lot to juggle. I'll post some extras in my stories.

FUN FACT: I found this desk by the side of the road when running. My Dad helped me retrieve and repair it. I love a good deal!

While I've come to accept that my pieces are putting more plastic into the world, I work to generate as little waste as possible. Here are some ways I'm shifting my designs and my company to repurpose scraps and eliminate waste. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Repurposed Scrap Design: seen here ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Inverse Earring Designs: designs that yield two inverse pairs of earrings (ie. Vote Rounds) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Working to source acrylic scraps from local vendors⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Utilize recycled packaging and paper shredder scraps to ship my products. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Utilizing stamps on recycled paper for earring cards etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
