Dropping these 3 pieces off at the botanical garden today, in preparation for tomorrow night's show and sale. First time at this event and I'm excited to see the work thats been chosen for this one. 50 artists, so up to 150 pieces on display! Anyone interested in purchasing the sunflower piece, or the daffodils house, both will be available at the event. The Japanese Spirea has another show coming in August, so it'll be going home either me.

Celebrating! All three of my submissions to the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens Show, Small Works, Big Blooms, got accepted. Its a one night show with most paintings available for sale. Gotta look at framing them I guess! Will get more info out on date and hours soon.

Getting things done. Finishing up three new paintings that have been "in progress" for far too long. And just entered these four into local shows. The Nature View Park landscape and the Japanese Spirea will be appearing at the Erie County Fair (along with my try at their plein air on the spot Paint the Fair contest) and the Ice House and Hawthorn Berries in Niagara-on-the-Lake will hopefully be chosen for a show at the Burchfield Nature and Art Center. It's my first juried show so we'll see if I get chosen.

Tomorrow I drop off these two paintings at the Gallery at Montabaur Heights. If they're accepted (they confirm when you show up) they'll be on display with others by members of the Buffalo Niagara Art Association from April 1 - June 29. The gallery is open daily from 11am-3pm. We'll miss them hanging in the kitchen!

Just entered these three paintings for consideration in the upcoming Small Works, Big Blooms tabletop art show at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. It's a one night show, June 5th. Will let everyone know if I get in! Photos look a little iffy. Tough to photograph outside without shadows. But hopefully they'll pick at least one. They accept up to three submissions and are limited to about 50 artists so we'll see. Doesn't hurt to give it a try! They have to be small paintings, and they'll be shown sitting on tabletop easels. These are Sunflowers 12x12, Daffodil Cottage 9x12, Japanese Spiraea 8x10.
