As someone who thrives in creativity... Sometimes rejoicing in the Lord requires testing new skills...

Today, I'm playing with marker sets I bought at Marshall's. Faces have never been my art jam, but I find myself leaning in and looking for growth today. I enjoy the process even if I'm not happy with the outcome.

Michelle has spent the last year making changes and consolidating projects and workloads. The shift of this page from Blooming Inspired Arts to Blooming Inspired Media only reflects the reality that she will be sharing her written works, excerpts from media projects, and her graphic and visual arts in one place! 2025 is already shaping up to be an exciting year.

I'm doing some rearranging online so my websites and email (michellebenthamcreates.com, bloominginspiredarts.com) will be down for a few days. I'll repost here when the rearranging, reimagining and repurposing of websites is complete. See you on the flip side!

Yesterday I found myself grieving the absence of preparation to meet with my ladies for Bible study today! So, I did the next best thing... I decided to start promoting the next Bible study opportunity!

I would love it if you would join me next fall for a sixteen-week study in the book of Romans! We'll be reading Chapters 1-8 in the fall, and then wrap up the study of Roman with chapters 9-16 in Spring 2025.

I have read the book of Romans many times. Inscribed its passages on the inside cover of my Bibles for quick reference when sharing the Gospel with someone I meet. Highlighted the Romans road and discovered my own story of salvation and sanctification on the worn thin pages of just about every Bible I own. Paul's rich and stirring testimony of the Gospel's work to not only save us by faith, but make us a new creation in Christ is not just encouraging... It's INSPIRING! It challenges me to move my faith to action, and live out the Gospel every single day of my life.

And this is the journey we will embark on in late August - this Bible study adventure will be offered for women on Wednesday mornings in Granbury, TX, and on an evening/time to be announced at a later date for couples, men, and women. I will also be publishing two workbooks for this study and offering it online through a new KINGDOM FOCUSED app experience that is being developed this summer!

STAY TUNED! God has so much more for us as we surrender ourselves to study His Word by His Spirit this fall.

Happy Resurrection Day. Though Friday was crushing and brutal, and Saturday silent... The third day has come.

In search of her Savior...

The earth rumbles low beneath them as the disciples of Jesus sleep, hiding out in the upper room where the men had observed passover with Jesus just a few days before. They went to sleep uncertain, unsettled... Worried who the Pharisees might come for next. A few had been heard sobbing as one by one they all fell asleep.

Startled by the shaking, Mary Magdalene and several other women get up to go to the tomb.

Can you see the women rising early, gathering their spices and oils to properly prepare Jesus for his burial?

Can you hear their hushed tones as they whisper and pray together walking along the way to the garden tomb?

As they walk along the path approaching the tomb they see something odd through the fog and chill of the morning air... The stone has been rolled away. They pause a moment and consider that the Roman guards who'd been charged with the guarding the tomb were no where to be found.

They walk cautiously closer and find the tomb is empty. "They've taken him away!" Mary exclaims through tears.

Then the angel appears to remind them of Jesus' words to them and encourage them to tell the others.

But the women are confused... Nothing makes sense to them. They split up to go in search of the guards to find out where they should look for him.

Mary sees a man working in the garden not far from the tomb. Her heart has broken once again, and she is weeping. Sobbing as she approaches the man in disbelief that things just keep going from bad to worse.

"Abba, help me find Him please!" She whispers through her tears.

Can you see her holding her spices and oils, shaking as she stands before what she believes is a stranger in the garden?

Can you be her?

What is she feeling? Thinking? What would you do?

He looks up as she approaches, but in the blur of tears, grief, and confusion... She finds his face unfamiliar.

Then the man speaks to her, His tone is quiet, gentle and concerned. But still, unfamiliar, "Woman, why are you weeping?"

What an odd thing to ask, she thinks... I'm in a graveyard. Why wouldn't I be weeping?

The words come out with sobs as she gushes, "I'm looking for my master, my Lord, someone has taken him from the tomb where we laid
him. Please, sir, if you know will you tell me so I may go to Him?"

Then she hears that familiar voice, the voice of her deliverer and redeemer. Jesus...

"Mary..."

"Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” 18 Mary Magdalene came and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her."

John 20:16-18 NASB

A woman shared the good news of Jesus' resurrection for the first time!!! Praise His Name!

He is RISEN! And the same power that raised Jesus from the dead now lives bodily in us!!! Rejoice my sisters and friends! He has risen indeed.

Tonight, I joined a women's intercession group that meets here in Granbury. Powerful women of God, praying and worshipping in the Holy Spirit, and bringing the Kingdom of Heaven into the earth. Our prayers centered on the state of our governments and nation tonight, and God's desire for all the nations to receive the Gospel, His blessing, and be discipled in Christ.

As we prayed I heard the words, "I pledge allegiance..." and this is what followed:

First, I heard the Lord say that He wanted us to repent of the legalistic spirit attached to patriotism, where we worship our nation instead of God. We look to our government as our source and our god rather than God.

In that repentance, I said that we depose the government from the seat of our government and our heart, and we place God in His rightful place in our hearts and in our government.
I heard during prayer for the nation, "I pledge allegiance..." But, then I heard God say, I don't want you to pledge allegiance to the flag, but to Me.

"I pledge allegiance to the One True God of the Universe - The Father, His Son, His Holy Spirit - whose banner over us is love; who founded these United States of America and established it on His throne's foundations of Righteousness and Justice; who created and ordained these United States of America and the REPUBLIC that still stands (we repent of the lie that we are a democracy, because we are not a democracy, but a republic), One Nation Under God - INDIVISIBLE - with liberty and justice for all. Not our government's liberty or justice, but God's liberty and Justice FOR ALL.

We declare our government houses and our church houses are ordained and established by God - HIS WILL WILL PREVAIL - NOTHING CAN THWART HIS PLAN. Lord, we cry out for your redemption to draw near tonight - Bring your resurrection power and speak life to the dry bones of faith across our nation tonight. We cry out to the sleepers, and say AWAKEN SLEEPERS, Oh God restore us to our First Love as a nation, as Your Bride - we are here, we hear you knocking on the door of our nation tonight and we open the door to You and welcome You in... In Jesus' Name, Amen.
