I spent the past 5 days felting, painting and making collage with 41 third through fifth graders at Encore Art Camp at Frost Fire!

We learned a lot from each other, especially patience with the process. Here are just a few of the creations, flat felt designs and felt geodes.

Time’s up! Delivered Ascent to The Rourke today and had the opportunity to see some amazing art in their galleries and at the Plains Art Museum before heading home.

The back of a felt piece can be very interesting, especially when I’ve come in to needle felt details and make adjustments.

This is mounted onto canvas and will be on the way to The Rourke tomorrow for a show entitled ‘The Pursuit of Happiness!’

It’s giving sushi vibes.
Really though, the fiber artist that told me to pre-bundle supplies for students before teaching is saving me so much frustration. I’m taking my time and weighing fiber now so that class time at Encore Art Camp can be best used for creating!
