Mary Flower, from Portland Oregon, is a world class finger-style guitarist and lap slide player who plays a luscious and l***y mix of rootsy, acoustic-blues guitar along with soulful vocal styles. Her style spans a number of idioms – from Piedmont to the Mississippi Delta, to ragtime, swing, folk and hot jazz.

Mary frequently performs at folk festivals, teaching seminars and playing on concert stages. She has worked at venues like MerleFest, Kerrville Folk Festival, King Biscuit, Prairie Home Companion and the Vancouver Folk Festival.

Acoustic Guitar Magazine says of Mary “There are few musicians in the genre bringing as much creative spark and low-key mojo to this century-old music.” Mary’s 11 recordings, including her four for Memphis’ famed Yellow Dog Records -- Bywater Dance, Instrumental Breakdown, Bridges, and Misery Loves Company — show a deep command of and love for folk and blues string music. She is on tour now with Leon Cotter celebrating the release of their new CD “Chants or Rain”.

Leon Cotter, an international touring reed player, has performed up and down both coasts in a variety of bands, playing everything from reggae to middle eastern music to Dixieland. He has appeared at Filmore West, New York’s Blue Note, the Burlington JazzFest (opening for Jimmy Cliff), and Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival. Leon is currently a member of the much-loved California Honeydrops and has shared the stage with Bonnie Raitt, Charlie Hunter and the Hamiltones, among many other great artists.

He travels frequently to Central America, and has become known for his humanitarian efforts on behalf of war refugees returning to resettle their villages, replant their fields and reconstruct their lives. "Seeing and hearing Dean Stevens live on stage is proof that sanity, literacy, love, hope, and the forces of good are still alive and well and at work in the universe. Losing your faith? Go to a Dean Stevens concert!"
~ Geoff Bartley

Playing with Dean is Randy Sabien, a bluesy, swinging, funky, jazz violinist with an intensely rhythmic, vibrant and inventive style.
