First time it's ever happened, and I don't think you can do it.

🐍 HEADS UP — MODIFIED HOURS THIS WEEKEND

Closing EARLY today at 4:45pm.

Tomorrow (Sunday) I'll be in late — hoping to doors open around 6pm. Staying open as long as people are coming in.

Monday I'm in ALL DAY. Commercial striper season opens at Midnight — If you are loading up on eels Monday to hit the water. I'm be stocked and ready.

🐍 Not all live eels are the same. Here's the difference. 🐍
Most bait shops keep their eels in freshwater tanks. That means the first time your eel hits salt water is when you hook it and cast it into the ocean — already stressed from being pierced, now going into osmotic shock on top of it. That eel goes limp fast. That eel catches less fish.

Mine are different.

My tank runs raw Gloucester harbor water pumped straight off the pier — full ocean salinity, 24/7. When eels come in from freshwater they go straight into my tank and nature does the sorting. The weak ones don't make it. The ones still swimming when you buy them have already acclimated to salt water, already proven they're tough, and they are ready to fish the second they hit the water.
You're not just buying live eels. You're buying eels that have already survived the hardest part.
