It’s been quiet around here recently but it’s about to get loud.

Exciting news! My wife and I are expecting a baby boy late this year!!

With this major life transition, we decided for me to step away from teaching high school ceramics. I loved my time teaching and wish my students and the next teacher the best! I know they will continue in excellence.

Until baby comes, I am renovating our home and preparing a home studio! I’m excited to share the progress.

After baby comes, I’ll be full time stay at home dad and potter!

Something I have been telling my students is the significance of the clay they are working with.

This may be the first time in all of earth’s history that those exact particles of earth are being touched by human hands.

When they get their clay out of the bag I tell them to smack it down, wake it up.

Say, “hey, it’s time to wake up. I’m going to turn you into something beautiful.”

There is an unseen weight that falls upon us who have chosen this craft. We commune with the ancient. The clay speaks and we must listen or fail.

Exciting news…

I accepted a position as a High School Ceramics Teacher in Southern Utah!

I survived my first week and start working in clay with all my students on Monday.

So grateful for all the family and friends who have pushed me and guided me in this direction.

I’m feeling nervous and excited in all the ways!

Graduation sale closes tomorrow night!

Funding my home studio has become the goal and y’all are making it a reality.

I GRADUATE TODAY! 🎓

I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I am officially a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from Utah Tech University! 🎓 I couldn't have made it to this point without the unwavering support of my amazing friends, family, and professors. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

To commemorate this special occasion, I am hosting a GRADUATION SALE that is open right now! 🙌🏽 Each sale will contribute towards completing our home studio, and I'm also offering pre-orders for those of you who want to stock up on more of my creations.

STUDENT OF THE YEAR! 🎉

Tonight I was honor to received the award “Student of the Year” for the Art Department.

So grateful for so many professors including .studio .felt.dye for helping me and guiding me along my path as an artist.

So grateful for my family who have loved me and lifted me up and reminded me that I am capable of so much more than I would let myself do.

This was the perfect way to end my undergraduate! Eager for what’s next.

Keep an eye out for my Graduation Sale, starting tomorrow night to celebrate alongside me! 🙌🏽

Honored to have won 1st Place in Ceramics!🏅

This is my last Student & Faculty Show at the Sears Art Museum. A nice cherry on top to finish out my Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Grateful to all the family, friends, and professors that helped guide me toward this achievement.

Tomorrow is the day!

Will I see you there?

Yesterday I told all my professors that I was all set up and ready to go and they were amazed. Normally, a senior exhibit of this sort is being set up the day before or the day of their opening night.

Can you tell I’m a little eager to show off what I’ve made for y’all?

The excitement and nervousness is building up. This is the first show of many!

Here is a pitcher glazed in my glaze Patina Blue. It will be in my show open to the public tomorrow evening!

What’s your favorite tea? 🌺

Paired with a saucer, this tea cup is part of my teatime set available at my show.

This is part of a set including four teacups with saucers, a teapot, a sugar jar, and a creamer. They were among the last pieces I made for my show.

Just a few more days! The clock is ticking. It’s almost go time! :)
