Dusty Boots Square Dance Social Community Square Dances in Arizona Dusty Boots Square Dance Social has hosted monthly public community square dances since December 2013.

Square dancing encourages community -- it brings people together in a fun, healthy environment with live music and active movement. It's not a dance community -- it is a community dance. Square dancing is an age-old, fun means for community-building. People come alone or with friends, many have never square danced before, but everyone has a good time. Our favorite saying: "Hand over hand, heel ove

r heel, the more you dance, the better you feel!" Musicians interested in old-time music are encouraged to come sit in with the host band.

Don't be a square. Dust off your dancing shoes and do-si-do to old time music performed by Pick & Holler string band. It doesn't matter if you don't remember how. It's easy and fun and lessons will be provided. Dances called and taught by Tom Giambra.

What a supremely fun night at Downtown Phoenix Public Market last night! Kids were smiling, teenagers laughing, and parents were glad to get goofy. We don't have any pictures because we were too busy dancing. Join us Saturday for a full dance social filled with laughter! Hosted by Desert Song Healing Arts Center, 3232 N 20th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016. 6-8 PM, $10 (kids get in free!), with music by our favorite local old-time music band, Pick and Holler!
