Country music legend John Anderson has received a special honor as his 1992 hit “Seminole Wind” has been named an official state anthem of Florida!
Written and recorded by Anderson, a native of Apopka, Florida, the song became one of his signature hits. More than just a country classic, “Seminole Wind” tells the story of Florida's natural beauty, its Native American heritage, and the environmental changes that have shaped the Sunshine State.
More than three decades after its release, the song continues to resonate with generations of country music fans.
From the country music charts to the history books, “Seminole Wind” is now forever part of Florida's musical legacy.
