My knitting may be paused, but I am having a fun time reviving my watercolor work. Here are a few pieces I’ve worked on in the last 2 months.

A new pattern for 2026! With our move and my arms failing me, this project has been a labor of love. It has taken me a full year to finish it, but I love it. I hope you all show it some love too!

Cheshire Shrug in a lovely eyelet lace pattern. Sized from XS-6XL (maximum effort you guys). US #3 needle and super cozy Wonderland Yarns.
Find it on Ravelry, Lovecraft, or Etsy!

Trying to feel better and accept my new norm. Still can’t knit, so I’m back to watercolor. I am, also, working on a few knitting patterns that just need the mathing and photos done. And I found a use for my art books!

Making space to reduce stress. Moving to Florida has been tough, but it was the best decision we could have made. There’s a wee one on the way for my oldest nephew and niece (inlaw?). Savannah loves literature so a swaddle sack and hat she shall get. If you ever wondered if knitwear designers knit their own work, here’s the answer. Yes. Yes, we do. It’s my Very Hungry Caterpillar Swaddle Sack and Hat in baby Bee Adore-A-Ball Chenille yarn.

The moves are done. My arms are in agony. I can’t knit, paint, write, etc. So I decided to bake macarons! I watched a ton of videos and read all the tips. It took 2 batches to realize the oven was broken. These bad boys were a labor of love. Lots of temp adjustments, rotating, opening and closing the door, and cursing. These are simple vanilla macarons with a Sicilian cannoli buttercream, and rolled in crushed pistachios. They taste like Grandmas cannoli. Something I really needed in this self-imposed disruption.
