Mazu Goddess of The Empty Sea Come seek the blessings of Mazu on your travels through Black Rock City!

This project aims to be a cross pollination of traditional East Asian religious culture influences, in particular the Goddess figure of Mazu, with the wild and raucous irreverence of the Western carnival culture. We hope to create an experience that integrates deeply with the event itself, one that invites participation and contemplation, that creates magic and memories, and leaves participants with a taste of our traditions just as we will take home some of yours.
