Wrongful Convicted Chris Bynum
In February of 2000, Cleveland “Chris” Bynum was arrested for 5 counts of murder. He was ultimately convicted on all counts. At Bynum’s sentencing hearing, he spoke directly to the victim’s families– suggesting that, if they truly loved their deceased loved ones, they’d force the police to do their jobs.
For Bynum, that was a plea of innocence on his behalf. Bynum was sentenced to 300- years in prison for the crimes he was convicted of.
The most powerful evidence presented against Bynum at trial were two- signed confessions, and the testimony of a 13- year old boy, who swore under oath that he heard Bynum’s voice at the crime scene. The witnesses mom and aunt were both murdered while he hid in the next room. Bynum has always asserted that he was forced to sign false confessions, through coercion by Gary Police Officers.
20- years later, there’s overwhelming evidence supporting Cleveland Bynum’s claim that he was set up by Gary Police Officers, including DNA evidence. One profile being a Gary Police Officer’s son’s semen being in the mouth of one of the deceased victims, another profile being found in the vaginas of two victims (that second man has also been linked by DNA evidence to another woman’s murder in 2010 with both of those bodies being found partially n**e at a baseball field, and a video taped confession of a man named Gerald Mathews. The 12-year old witness has also given a full recantation of his trial testimony, stating the Gary Police coerced him into lying on Bynum.
After 20-years in prison, Bynum’s claims that the Gary Police set him up, are now validated by irrefutable evidence.
