Happy June! We’re kicking off the Saturdays at the Center summer series this weekend!

First up is photographer Christine Caron. Christine moved from New Hampshire to Maine in 2002 and has been capturing the beauty and emotion of New England through photography ever since. A self-taught visual artist, Christine uses her camera as a creative outlet, creating images that evoke feeling, connection, and a sense of place.

“As a visual artist, I choose photography to express my creativity. I love capturing images that stir something from within. If viewers are moved as I am, then I have fulfilled my purpose through photography. Please, enjoy the view!”

Although it's April Fools Day, THIS IS NO JOKE! Late applications for the 2026 Portland Fine Craft Show are open until April 10th.

You have ten days to submit your application to participate in our 11th annual event that attracts thousands of attendees and 100+ exhibitors from all over the greater Northeast.

Show Details:
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026, rain or shine.
Time: 10 AM - 5 PM
Location: Lincoln Park - Congress & Pearl Street, Portland, ME

Late Application Dates: March 27 - April 10, 2026
Late Application Fee: MCA Members + Non-members $50.00
Notification Date: April 23, 2026

The online application is open through Juried Art Services.

Applicants will need to provide:
- Four quality images representing the work that will be exhibited.
- One booth shot image.
- An artist statement. The statement should include information about the artist’s career, experience, or technical skill used to create the submitted artwork.
