Just a remonder of the the scedule this weekend.

Join us for another fantastic weekend at Bear Lake! Meal schedule and accommodation suggestions below. This event is welcoming for all who identify as gay/bi/queer/trans men.

FRIDAY, September 5th
Dinner: 7:00PM
Cooper's Restaurant, Fish Haven, ID
Just across the border in Idaho.
After dinner meet downstairs at Coopers in their bar for Billiards, Beer and Bears!!!

SATURDAY, September 6th
Brunch Potluck @ Cookie's Coffee, Montpelier, ID. 10:00AM-12:00PM
Please bring something to share. Broulim's Grocery store is available in Montpelier. Outlets available if you have something to plug in. Drip coffee provided. A small oven is available to heat something, first come first serve. Car pooling recommended, This location is a half hour from Garden City.

Activities: 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Cost: $7/per car for Bear Beach Day at North Beach

Dinner: 8:00PM
Campfire Grill at Conestoga Ranch, Garden City, UT

After dinner meet outside the restaurant for S’mores!!! See Campfire Grill menu for pricing.

If it’s raining or snowing, cooking S'mores will be moved inside.

SUNDAY, September 7th
Brunch @ 10:30AM at Crepes & Coffee, Garden City, UT.

Lotoja awareness!

Thanks to Jake for bringing this up. Lotoja (bike race from Logan to Jackson) occurs on the Saturday of BLBW.

What it won’t affect:

-Logan Canyon - Most of you will have already come through Logan Canyon Friday. Lotoja also doesn’t go through Logan Canyon. Lotoja starts super early (5:30am) so if you’re coming from the south on Saturday, you’re not likely to encounter it.
-Beach Day - Nearly all paricipants will have passed Cookie's Coffee by noon when most of us will be leaving brunch for beach day. In the unlikely event of blockage concerns, you can always leave out our back door, follow 5th street south and follow the Di**le route to North Beach.

What it could affect:

-Arriving to brunch - Cookie’s Coffee is right on the Lotoja route, but the road is not closed off. If you have any concerns though, you could leave your bunkhouses a little early. Although your route to brunch does coinced with the Lotoja route from Ovid to Montpelier, the road is not closed and you have other routes to choose. Montpelier is on the grid system as it used to be part of the state of Deseret. You can use any of the parallel streets to reach 279 N. 4th Street.

BEACH DAY!

Here are instructions for BLBW's Beach Day:

Bring your beach towels and gear to Saturday Brunch at Cookie's Coffee so you can head directly to the beach.

Directions from Cookie's Coffee:

-From US 89, turn left (East) on North Beach Road
-Drive 4.8 miles to North Beach
-Pay your $7 per car at the state beach
-Look for the bear flags

Pointers:

The air temperature won't be very hot, but the water will be PERFECT! Bring warm towels and blankets for when you get out of the water.
