Here’s a super duper special video…
This is a band I was in about 20 years ago, called Weather Machine, doing a one-off show this past NYE, here in Gainesville, at a venue called Limelight. It was to celebrate our bass player’s 50th bday, but it was also a reunion in many ways, of old friends and bandmates, but also new family and loved ones that never saw us play decades ago. This was the first time we’ve played together in around 18-19 years, if I’m not mistaken. I havnt even played drums in about 16 years. So yea, it was a momentous occasion. The idea of the show was a couple years in the making, but it all came together in a short window of time, about 3 days of rehearsals leading up to New Years Eve. All the original members were here, despite 3 of the 5 living in far corners of the country. In short, it was a fantastic and spectacular time. I hope we don’t wait another 20 years to get the band back together. Here’s the only footage so far released from that night, a cover of Sublime’s song ‘STP.’ I hope to share more videos when I can.
