My portrait drawing of Annsy “Through the Keys” is all framed up and heading to the Hilbert Museum of California Art for the California Art Club 115th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition. The show opens to the public June 14th and runs through September 13 in Orange, California. Big thank you to Chemers Gallery for another fabulous frame up.

I’m donating this mixed media portrait drawing “Little One” to The Artists Fund to help raise money for artists in need. A selection of the works, including my piece, will be featured in an exhibition at the Laguna Beach City Hall prior to their display at the Festival of Arts all summer. Created with charcoal pencil and pastel on Strathmore toned paper. Her frock is hand poured and screened paper made in Nepal. I embellished it with metallic gold paint then carefully cut out the colllar including the ties and placed the paper underneath it. Professionally framed with museum glass. Very delicate, special piece that truth be told I didn’t really want to let go of… 🥹 but truly happy she will be going to a good cause and hopefully will be cherished by the collector who takes her home.

Found out today that the Brand Library is featuring my work on their website for promoting Brand 54. It’s the 54th Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. My mixed media drawing Ella the Fierce was selected from over 1300 works to be exhibited as one of 100 in the show. Juror Tracy Bartley has years of experience in contemporary fine art, and is currently Project Manager and Senior Researcher for the David Hockney Catalogue Raissonné Project. What an honor! The show opens June 6th and runs through August 28th. The venue is at the gallery at the historic Brand Library in Glendale, California. SWIPE to see it! WOW!
