Hey everybody! Nate Spencer here with an important message -
Today we are saying goodbye to a founding member of the moonstone quill family, Dan Shukis. Dan is moving back home to Chicago from summit county. Dan has been our guitar player since the very beginning, he designed all of our art, he ran the website and social media, and sang his heart out at every show we ever played. He brought so much harmony and passion to the music and wrote some amazing original songs for us to play. Dan and I started this band together in 2020 and we couldn’t imagine how far this thing would go. We had no idea of the stages or places we would get to play, the awards we would win, or the fans we would get to see showing up to our shows week after week. We are all going to miss having Dan up there with us chucking away on his guitar! And though he’s moving away, Dan will continue to be involved with the band behind the scenes.
With all of this being said, MOONSTONE QUILL WILL CONTINUE! Nick, Ian and I are all fully in this thing and we have plenty of friends to join us on stage until we find the right fit for our permanent 4th member. All of our shows, private events, and parties will have 4 band members and we can’t wait to try out some new sounds this summer! We’ll see you out there, come see a show and support the band during this transitional period!
