I had the most delightful time meeting Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers, The Goldbergs, Chowder...) at Crypticon Minnesota 2024 Year 18! yesterday! She is not only a wonderful character actor whose career has spanned so many film genres, tv roles, theatre, sketch comedy, and improv, but she is also an absolutely lovely person to meet and talk to!!
I probably chatted her ear off, but she is genuine outgoing, friendly, and fun! (No, I didn't get in the way of other fans.)

Anyway, I'm not a big autograph seeker or selfy-with-a-celebrity person, but when I see a celebrity who I actually recognize and see her actually having fun with people at this kind of event, I want to meet them. Thank you to her agent Patty ( also a sweetheart) for getting her booked here and thank you to Mindy for the fun selfies! Let's do some improv together some time! !

Happy Minnesota Fringe Everyone!!
Unfortunately Work-Life balance did not work out a balance this year so were watching instead of participating!

Break a leg everyone!!!! This is the most amazing annual cultural event. I am so proud to be involved with it every year!!!

Actors and artists at Interact in St. Paul will perform live in Minneapolis for the first time in three years on Friday. The group’s performing We’re Still Here. Interact is a performing arts company for people living with disabilities.

Just starting to recover from the post-Fringe depression here at House Full of Frogs (the producer, the producer's wife, presently over 150 frogs included). We had an amazingly fun and emotional run. Thank you to our audience, to those of you who tipped us through the Fringe website, to the hard-working Staff and Volunteers who made all of this possible, to our talented playwright, Szudrich and to one of the most incredible and courageous actors I have ever had the opportunity to work with, Lisa Marie Fulton. And thank you to our recorded voiceover actors, Colleen Vickerman, Rob Thomas, Bill Sikorski, Trixy Heller, Vienna Maas, Malcom Dekker, Coraline Fulton, and Polly and Albert Reinhardt! Thank you to our talented sound and light technician Ash (who I can' tag because they're not on FB), and thank you to Youth Performance Company for allowing us to use their space for rehearsal!

Stay tuned for news about the Fringe Hangover! Where you will get a chance to watch Lisa's performance streamed on-line in the near future!

The final countdown has begun!

We are down to just one month before the MN Fringe opens and the Twin Cities' own Lisa Marie Fulton is rehearsing hard with Director Franklin Heller to bring this poignant piece by Australian award-winning playwright Adam Szudrich to you in August!!

You won't want to miss your chance to see thiis! There are only five performances planned and the Center for the Performing Arts Flex Auditorium only holds a little over 100 seats, so reserve your tickets as soon as possible!!!

(and please don't forget to bring your Fringe Button - a one-time purchase that supports the 2022 MN Fringe that you need to get into any Fringe show you attend - and also your proof of Covid Vax to be admitted.

We are IN NEED OF several CHILDREN’S VOICES (4sh-12sh sounding) for Voice Overs in Sunshine for our production in the MN Fringe Festival this year. Below are links to several Voice Over scripts. If you would like to have your child record the lines from these scripts and send them to me, I may be able to use their recordings in my production. Nominally, any child whose recording I use will get credit in our program and their parent(s) will get two comps to our production. Your child does not need to read all the lines from the Boy VO script or all the lines from the Girl VO script (as I will be mixing the voices from various kids for that), but if they read from the Henry the Child VO script, I do need the whole script read as those lines will be used from a single child.

I have included links to the three scripts to be read. Please send recordings to me as links or attachments to [email protected]. They may be in any standard format (mp3, mp4, wav, You-Tube, Vimeo, etc.) They don’t need to include video as I won’t be using video, but I don’t care if they have a video track, whatever is easiest for you works for me. I will not use anyone’s recording in the production without getting a subsequent release from you.

Sunshine is a play of a mature nature. I would not consider it to be terribly offensive but rather a very frank perspective of a woman in her 40s who’s had some of life’s tough experiences. It has some adult language in it and describes some adult situations. If you want to read the script either in advance to your child submitting a recording or in addition to submitting a recording, please contact me and I will send you a link to the entire script.
