Sometimes the best design inspiration comes from your own clients. 😂
I originally created these hand-carved wood slats as a focal point for a client’s restaurant… and loved them so much I knew they needed a second life in my house.
Naturally, that meant demolishing an entire wall, hand-laying a mosaic floor, carving, staining and painting another round of slats… because apparently I’m incapable of choosing the easy option.
But this is my favorite kind of design: color, texture, craftsmanship and a little bit of weird coming together to make something completely unique.
And yes, I absolutely steal from myself. 😉
