Travel break May 2026 - Oh Bonnie Scotland! From Edinburgh, the coolest European city yet, to the awe of the highlands only to be bested by Isle of Skye. Favorite moments…dinner at Mother India’s cafe, walking to Stockbridge along the Water of Leith Walkway, impromptu lunch and tour at the Deanston distillery on the way to Glenco, Best fish and chips EVER at the Loch Leven Hotel, ferrying to the Isle of Raasay and having a private tasting at the distillery while watching the dogs work the herd, braving the winds on the Quiraing hike, connecting with fellow travelers - Canadian of course - while staying at a sheep breeding facility 🐑 🙃 (see video) and enjoying the view of the water at the Oban Bay Hotel. Oh, and I got on a different mode of transportation…🐴 The people of Scotland are so warm and friendly (felt like home) and the Scotch was pretty tasty too! 🥃
