Franklin’s Art in the Park was a really great event. It was aided by homecoming pictures activity. Many artists brought a project to work on. Others came seeking some advice. I decided to try a bit of plein air but was happy to stop and talk to some artists about their work.
It was a fun two hours in the park. I hope to see the artists I chatted with again. I’ll be doing some workshops geared toward understanding the art process better that I truly hope will help people who love creating things find their voice in this wonderful world of expression.
Ashley Zaccari - Franklin City Councilmember did an amazing job bringing this together. Multiple people suggested this should be a monthly endeavor.
We might have ideas at Eight & 322 through the winter to help facilitate this idea!!!
This was a very short sketch inbetween chatting. Probably needs more work, but I’m going to consider it my alla prima attempt and sell it for $25. (SOLD, but I might be making prints.)
It is house paint, sidewalk chalk and charcoal on the back of a commercial thrift store print.
Roughly 16x20-ish.
